Hey beauties! xoxo

As you guys probably know, recently Boots released the new 'Revlon Lip Balms'! Being a huge fan of the lip crayon I just had to get my hands on these beauties! This ended up with me dabbling into quite a substantial amount of make up products resulting in yet another haul from Boots for you guys!

What I picked up...

Revlon Color Burst Lacquer Balm

  • Provocateur - a pinky red shade, leaning towards a more of a red toned colour
  • Vivacious - a vibrant pinky red shade
  • Flirtatious - a more pink toned berry shade
  • Whimsical - a deep berry shade

Revlon Color Burst Matte Balm

  • Sultry - a muted berry pink shade
  • Elusive - a medium everyday pink shade
  • Standout - a deep vibrant red with pink undertones
  • Unapologetic - a bright pink shade

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon

  • Red Sunrise - a reddish pink shade

Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer

  • Out of the World - a shimmery medium pink shade

So that is everything I picked up from Boots during the new year. I will be doing individual reviews on these products so keep an eye out for those. I hope you guys enjoyed this post and if you have any questions or post suggestions don't forget to comment below.

KIKO Haul ♥

Hey guys! xoxo

As you can tell by the title it's haul time! So I may have done a bit of sneaky online shopping recently from 'KIKO' so what better way to show you what I picked up other than a haul? With that being said lets jump into it.

Water Eyeshadow - 200 Champagne

The first product I picked up from KIKO was one of their 'Water Eyeshadows' in the colour 'Champagne'. What really drew me to these was not only their superb colour change and intense shades but also how beautifully presented in the pan they are, almost looking 3D. Another great thing about these eyeshadows is that they can be used both wet or dry and still have extraordinary pigmentation both ways.

 Dazzling Highlighter - Moonlight Gold

The next item I chose was their 'Dazzling Highlighter' in the shade 'Moonlight Gold'. I'm not to sure if they still carry this product as I can no longer find it on their website, but what this basically is, is a cream stick highlighter and can be used on the cheek bones, nose, eyelids and anywhere you would like to highlight. I decided to give it a try as I absolutely love my powder highlighters so thought I'd give a cream based one a go.

Ultra Glossy Stylo SPF 15 - 811 Raspberry

I decided to try out two of their 'Ultra Glossy Stylo SPF 15' lipsticks. These lipsticks are a wet-look, extremely shiny lipstick, that not only provide intensely creamy colour but also work well in conditioning the lips. It's the best of both worlds really and the first colour I picked was in 'Raspberry'. Now as you all know I am a huge fan of berry, plum shades and this is the perfect transitional shade going into spring.

Ultra Glossy Stylo SPF 15 - 815 Rhododendron Pink

The second shade I picked was in 'Rhododendron Pink' a more suitable medium - deep pink for the spring and summer months.

Smart Lipstick - 914 Amaranth

This next product is probably my absolute favourite item I chose and this is KIKO's 'Smart Lipstick' in 'Amaranth' when I saw this colour I immediately knew I just had to have it. It's so deep, vibrant and vampy and would make a great dupe for 'MAC's Rebel'.

Creamy Lipgloss - 107 Magenta

It would be me if I didn't purchase one or two lip crayons now would it? The first one I chose is in the shade 'Magenta' this colour is more of a deep purple pink and looks beautiful when on the lips and swatched. Although these lip crayons are sheer they can be built up to great a gorgeous glossy lip colour.

Creamy Lipgloss - 106 Carmine Red

The last product I purchased was another 'Creamy Lipgloss' in the shade 'Carmine Red'. Now I have been wearing these pinky reds none stop so I had to try out KIKO's version and I love the colour, its so creamy, buildable and hydrating on the lips!

Valentine's Day Gift Guide 2014 ♥

Hey loves! xoxo

So its that time of year again, where love is in the air. Where hearts, roses and chocolates fill the entire month of February. That's right Valentine's Day is just around the corner and in today's post I will be sharing with you my 'Valentines Day Gift Guide' for both him and her. So with that being said let's get into it!

Gift guide for her

1. Roses

You can't go wrong with roses on Valentine's Day. Whether it be pink or red, a single rose or a bunch, in my opinion they are a definite must for that one special person, as they are such a romantic gesture and can be so sentimental.

2. Lingerie

This could potentially be a bit TMI for some people, but I had to include this in my 'Gift Guide for her' as a beautiful lingerie set is a perfect gift for that one special lady. It's a romantic and personal gift idea that will make any women feel sultry and sexy.

3. Massage Candles

Another intimate and romantic gift idea I've chosen would have to be massage candles, not only do they create the perfect mood by filling an entire room with a delicious scent, they also double up as a perfect pamper essential, doubling the relaxation!

4. Sweets

Another gift idea which I'm sure any girl would love to receive would have to be any type of festive chocolates or sweets. You can get so many different varieties that you'll be spoilt for choice. Candy is a perfect gift as its inexpensive but can mean the world to that special someone.

5. Perfume

Last for the ladies in my opinion would have to be a fragrance of some sort, whether it be another bottle of their all time favourite perfume or a different, thoughtful fragrance. Perfume is such an elegant and classy gift idea that will definitely be a winner on Valentine's Day!

Gift guide for him

1. Aftershave

A special gift for the man in your life would definitely have to be a bottle of his favourite aftershave. This is a perfect manly, yet romantic gift to get your guy all loved up this Valentine's Day!

2. Chocolate

Want to know the way to a man's heart? Then buy him a box of chocolates this Valentine's. You can't go wrong with a decent sized box of chocs for your man as it shows how much you love him, especially if you get him a themed piece of chocolate like a football boot or an 'I love you' plaque!

3. Watch

A watch or any type of wrist wear is perfect for those guys who like to accessorise and look sharp and stylish when taking their lady out. These can range in price so you'll be sure to find the perfect one for your man and your budget. Cuff links are another great gift idea for those working men!

4. Boxers

Any type of boxers or underwear would be a great gift for those guys! Whether it be designer or just some fun and jokey ones, you'll be sure to put a smile on his face with your choice!

5. Technology

Any form of technology would go down a treat with your man, whether it be a phone, camera, or even headphones this will show you've thought about what to get him and taken the time to chose the perfect gift!

So there you have it, my gift guide for both him and her this Valentine's Day. I'd just thought I'd finish by saying Valentine's Day isn't and shouldn't just be all about the gifts and presents. It should be about celebrating that one day a year with your other half, showing them just how much they mean to you and how much you love them and that's something that money can't buy. It shouldn't always be about the materialistic things, so if your unable to buy a gift for your partner, don't worry. They should understand that you don't need to buy them something to show how much you love them. Valentine's Day shouldn't be the only day you tell your partner you love them, that should come naturally, everyday and with that being said I wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day!

Monthly Favourites January 2014 ♥

Hey guys! xoxo

So its that time of the month again (don't take that the wrong way!) Haha. In today's post I'll be giving you the run down on all the things I have been enjoying this January. I hope you all had a great first month into the new year and will continue to enjoy what is 2014! With that being said lets get started!

Make up

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick - Amethyst Shimmer

I have been so obsessed with this lipstick this month! I got it way before Christmas and began using late December, and have continued to use it for the entire month of January. Being a lover of deep, berry/plum shades, I knew this was a perfect colour for me and I'll continue to wear it going into February.

Benefit 10 Bronzing & Highlighting

I have already hit pan on this beauty! I absolutely love this duo, I've had it for ages now and have used it on and off over the months, after rediscovering this powder I have been using it everyday for the month of January and thoroughly loving the luminous glow this brings to my cheeks. Pricey but a definite must have for all those glowing goddesses out there!

Elf Lip Lock Pen

This next product I have already mentioned here in my 'Monthly Favourites October 2013' http://vintagebeauty100.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/monthly-favourites-october-2013.html I just can't get enough of this simple yet effective little invention created by 'Elf '. This helps ensure my lip colour stays put all day, without any smudging or bleeding. This is basically a wax lip liner, with absolutely no colour which is perfect for someone who constantly changes up their lip colour like me!

Skincare

Soap & Glory A Great Kisser Lip Moisture Balm Juicy Peach

I have fallen in love with this lip balm this past month. Not only is the packaging cute, the scent it amazing! Its so fresh & fruity, really energising and zesty. This has worked wonders for my lips, helping them stay moisturised and hydrated day and night. Truly amazing!

Simple Kind To Skin Moisturising Facial Wash

I've only been using this face wash for a couple of weeks and so far I'm enjoying it. I have been a huge fan of Simple for many years and I'm gradually converting my skincare routine into being as natural as possible as I'd just like to give my skin a rest from continual use of harsh chemicals.

Bath & Body Works Shower Gel Mango Mandarin

Unfortunately I do not have an original picture of this product as I used it all up and threw it away without remembering to include it in my January favourites, but after receiving this for Christmas I have been loving it for the entire month of January! Too early for summer? I don't think so! This shower gel just reminds me of the warmth of the sun which we are in desperate need of right now here in the UK! It's the perfect pick me up for those cold, dreary January evenings.

E45 Moisturising Lotion

This lotion has been my everyday go to during the colder weather. I love this lotion as its non greasy, yet deeply nourishing for the skin. I also like the fact that it is non scented as sometimes in between scents I like to go for something subtle as I feel as though my skin needs a break.

Elf Professional Shine Eraser

I purchased these a few weeks back and have been using them to blot my complexion when I feel its looking slightly oily. These work wonders in clearing the skin of oil, without drying out the face. These can be used when you have make up also as they will soak up the oil without removing traces of makeup.

Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Perfume

My last favourite for this month would definitely have to be my 'Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Perfume'. Oh my gosh! I cannot begin to describe how delicious this scent is. Perfect for this time of year and the more colder months leading and going into springtime. Since the start of January I have been using this fragrance almost daily. I love it so much!

Collection 2000 Blush Review ♥

Hey dolls! xoxo

So recently I had a little rummage through my make up collection and stumbled upon a long lost blush. This was the 'Collection 2000 Blush' in the shade '02 Bashful'. After rediscovering this blush I decided to give it a go again and have been using it ever since. In today's post I will be reviewing this blush and letting you guys know exactly what I think. So lets get stuck in!

Colour: I would describe the colour of this blush as a peachy, pink with subtle shimmers. This shade adds a rosy glow to the cheeks.

Texture: I would describe the texture as silky smooth. When touched this blush feels so soft and almost buttery. When applied to the cheeks it glides on effortlessly although it can be quite hard to blend so a lot of buffing is required. This blush can also tend to be quite chalky so just be aware of that.

Pigmentation: For a drugstore blush the pigmentation is quite something. As soon as you swipe this with your brush or your fingers the colour is transferred straight away. This can be built up for a luminous, sun kissed glow or toned down for a more natural look.

Lasting power: The lasting power is very surprising also, from when this blush is first applied it can last up to 4 hours and then it will gradually tone itself down but the colour is still visible.

Effect on the cheeks: This blush gives the cheeks a beautiful glow, adding radiance as it brightens the complexion.

Overall I love this blush, its super inexpensive yet very effective. This blush is perfect for anyone who's on a beauty budget and looks fabulous on almost every skin tone.
