Top 10 Drugstore Lip Products ♥

Hey beauties! xoxo

Today I will be sharing with you guys what I feel to be the 'Top 10 Drugstore Lip Products'. I feel the need to do this post as I'm forever researching online for information that shows the top inexpensive drugstore lip products out there, but I can never find exactly what I'm looking for. So lets get started!

1. Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer

- Description: I would describe the 'Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquers' as a liquid lipstick. With there intense rich colour of a lipstick, enriched with a satin smooth shine you'd get from a lipgloss. They are available in a total of 13 different shades.

- Colour pay off: I'd give the colour pay off a 10/10. This is because the lip lacquers are incredibly opaque and the pigmentation is outstanding. When applied to the lips the colours are exactly how they look on the tube.

- Lasing power: I'd give the lasting power a 9/10. This is because they are incredible at lasting on the lips all day, without staining. There is no need for reapplication throughout the day.

- Effect on the lips: When first applied the finish on the lips is like an opaque lipgloss. When dry the finish on the lips is like a lipstick. The lip lacquers don't dry out the lips, but I would recommend applying a lip balm to the lips before application.

2. Revlon Colour Burst Lip Butter

- Description: I would describe the 'Revlon Colour Burst Lip Butters' as an extremely nourishing and moisturising tinted lip balm. These are available in 21 different shades.

- Colour pay off: I'd give the colour pay off a 7/10. This is because some colours are more pigmented than others. But all of them offer some form of colour to the lips.

- Lasting power: I'd give the lasting power a 6/10. This is because they keep the lips hydrated and moisturised all day but the colour does not last, but this is expected as they are practically a lip balm.

- Effect on the lips: When first applied the finish on the lips is the same as what you'd expect from a lip balm, except these offer colour as well as nourishment. When dry the finish is still exactly the same as they keep the lips hydrated.

3. Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayons

- Description: I would describe the 'Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayons'  as a radiant, moisturising lip crayon, that adds shine and a instant pop of colour to the lips. These are available in 4 different shades.

- Colour pay off: I'd give the colour pay off an 8/10. This is because the colours are super vibrant and brighten up the complexion.

- Lasting power: I'd give the lasting power a 6/10. This is because they may have intense colour pay off but lack in the lasting power on the lips. Reapplication will be required throughout the day, to keep that colour vibrant!

- Effect on the lips: When first applied the finish on the lips is glossy. When dry the finish is still glossy but this can tend to fade during the day.

4. Maybelline Colour Sensational Vivids Lipsticks

- Description: I would describe the 'Maybelline Colour Sensational Vivids Lipsticks' as a highly pigmented, creamy lipstick. That nourishes the lips. These are available in 23 different shades.

- Colour pay off: I'd give the colour pay off a 10/10. This is because they a tremendously bright, pigmented and opaque

- Lasting Power: I'd give the lasting power a 10/10 also. This is because they stay on the lips throughout the day, even when eating and drinking.

- Effect on the lips: When first applied the finish on the lips is what you'd expect from  lipstick. When dry the finish is still as radiant as when first applied, but this can be drying.

5. NYX Butter Glosses

- Description: I would describe the 'NYX Butter Glosses' as a buttery, soft and silky smooth lip gloss. That has a sweet scent, is non sticky and adds shine to the lips. These are available in 12 different shades.

- Colour pay off: I'd give the colour pay off a 5/10. This is because they offer a sheer hint of colour, but is still visible on the lips.

- Lasting power: I'd give the lasting power a 5/10. This is because as lovely and glossy as they look on the lips, they tend to come off when eating or drinking.

- Effect on the lips: When first applied the finish on the lips is glossy and shiny. When dry the shine does not fade, throughout the day they offer the lips moisture.

6. Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick

- Description: I would describe the 'Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss sticks' as a moisturising lip gloss in the form of a chubby stick/ lip crayon. These are available in 5 different shades.

- Colour pay off: I'd give the colour pay off a 7/10. This is because they offer a buildable tint to the lips.

- Lasting power: I'd give the lasting power a 6/10. This is because the colour does tend to stay on the lips but can fade throughout the course of the day.

- Effect on the lips: When first applied the finish on the lips is smooth and glossy. When dry the smoothness does not fade and continues to condition the lips.

7. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stains

- Description: I would describe the 'Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stains' as balm fused with a lightweight lip stain, in the form of a chubby stick/ lip crayon. These are available in 7 different shades.

- Colour pay off: I'd give the colour pay off a 10/10. This is because they offer an intense and rich colour pay off.

- Lasting power: I'd give the lasting power a 10/10. This is because being a stain the colour will not budge all day.

- Effect on the lips: When first applied the finish on the lips is like a lip balm. When dry it turns to a matte consistency which can sometimes be drying.

8. Rimmel London Kate Matte Lipstick

- Description: I would describe the 'Rimmel London Kate Matte Lipstick' as a highly pigmented matte lipstick by Kate Moss. These are available in 5 different shades.

- Colour pay off: I'd give the colour pay off a 10/10. This is because the colour is extremely true on the lips to what the lipstick shows and looks as intense on the lips as it does in the tube.

- Lasting power: I'd give the lasting power a 10/10. This is because the vivid colour stays put all day on the lips and should not require reapplication.

- Effect on the lips: When first applied the finish on the lips is smooth. When dry the lipstick turns matte on the lips.

9. Rimmel London Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick

- Description: I would describe the 'Rimmel London Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick' as a high intensity coloured lipstick, with light reflects by Kate Moss. These are available in 9 different shades.

- Colour pay off: I'd give the colour pay off a 10/10. This is because like the 'Rimmel London Kate Matte Lipstick' this also offers an intense lip colour that looks as bright on the lips as it does in the tube.

- Lasting power: I'd give the lasting power a 10/10. This is because this lipstick claims to have up to 8 hours lasting power and well it does!

- Effect on the lips: When first applied the finish on the lips is silky When dry the lipstick stays silky and stays put!

10. Maybelline Colour Whispers

Description: I would describe the 'Maybelline Colour Whispers' as a pure colour pigment inside a weightless gel. These are available in 20 different shades.

- Colour pay off: I'd give the colour pay off a 5/10. This is because unlike the 'Revlon Colour Burst Lip Butters' they don't offer as much colour, but instead a sheer trace of colour.

- Lasting power: I'd give the lasting power a 6/10. This is because they are designed more to condition the lips and they achieve that.

- Effect on the lips: When first applied the finish on the lips is conditioning. When dry they continue to sooth the lips throughout the day.

Although some of the lip products listed above don't offer the highest colour pay off or lasting power. I still think they are the best on the market within the drugstore/highstreet and I highly recommend them if you are looking for good quality, inexpensive lip products.
